Marianne Tombaugh Cayse of Death, Obituary, Mother of Dodgers star Clayton Kershaw

Clayton Kershaw, a pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, lost his mother.

Ellen Kershaw reported on Saturday that Marianne Tombaugh passed away. During the dedication of an upgraded child baseball field in Inglewood, California, which his charitable foundation financed, the pitcher’s wife brought up the subject.

Her age and the reason for her death were not immediately known.

When Kershaw was 10 years old, his parents got divorced, and his mother took care of him in a suburb of Dallas. Christopher Kershaw, his father, passed away in 2013.

Ellen Kershaw remarked at the dedication, “Clayton grew up with a baseball in his hand ready to play a game in a sandlot or on a ballfield just like this one on a moment’s notice.”

“His lovely mother Marianne, who moved away, was one person in particular who developed that love in Clayton.

Kershaw will make his planned start on Tuesday at home against the Minnesota Twins, manager Dave Roberts announced on Sunday.

On Mother’s Day, Roberts stated, “I’m sure he has a sad heart today. “The toughest thing you can go through is losing a parent,” the speaker said.
