James Ware Obituary, Death Cause – Chesterfield Fire and Emergency Medical Services (CFEMS) has unfortunately informed that Captain Jason Ware, who was a member of the Engine 201 “A” Shift at the Chester Fire Station, has passed away. This news comes as a great loss to the entire community. This morning, Captain Ware was driving to work when he was involved in a car accident not far from West Point, Virginia. The accident took place near to West Point. Because of the accident, he was taken from us too soon.
Captain Ware, who was 46 years old at the time, had served with the Canadian Forces Emergency Medical Services (CFEMS) for the preceding 20 years. He went on to serve in a variety of station assignments all across the county after he graduated from Recruit School #33 and received his diploma. These duties took him all over the county. His most recent advancement placed him in the position of captain at the Chester Fire Station, which was one of the busiest fire stations in the county. In this role, he oversaw the daily operations of the fire station.
He had worked there in the past as a member of the fire department. A number of awards and commendations were bestowed to Captain Ware throughout the course of his professional life. Most recently, he served as a member of the department’s recruit interview panel, at which time he took part in the recruiting decisions for several firefighters who are currently delivering emergency services to the citizens of Chesterfield County. Chief Edward “Loy” Senter Jr. of the Fire Department stated, “We are heartbroken by this sudden loss,” and went on to say, “Our sincere condolences are extended to Captain Ware’s family, including his wife and two daughters.” During this exceptionally difficult time, the department will be available to offer support and aid to both the family and the employees. The department will also be present to offer assistance to the family.
